Throughout the game, Fiona will come across a number of items. However, some of the most useful items can be made with Medallions in the alchemy room.
Types of Medallions[]
There are 6 different Medallions:
- Medallion
- Album Medallion
- Viride Medallion
- Rubrum Medallion
- Viola Medallion
- Magist Medallion
Creating Items (see Main Article)[]
Medallion[]
With a regular Medallion, gray appears half of the time and is the most common color in the sephiroth. The second most common color is white, followed by blue, red and green sharing an equal chance of appearing. Gold appears very rarely.
Album Medallion[]
With an Album Medallion, the most common colors in the sephiroth is white. Blue, red and green still appear, while gold appears rarely. Gray appears one third of the time.
Viride Medallion[]
With a Viride Medallion, the most common colors in the sephiroth are white and green. Red and blue still appear, while gold appears rarely. Gray appears one third of the time.
Rubrum Medallion[]
With a Rubrum Medallion, the most common colors in the sephiroth are white and red. Blue and green still appear, while gold appears rarely. Gray appears one third of the time.
Viola Medallion[]
With a Viola Medallion, the most common colors in the sephiroth are white and blue. Red and green still appear, while gold appears rarely. Gray appears one third of the time.
Magist Medallion[]
With a Magist Medallion, the most common color in the sephiroth is white. Gray does not appear at all, and gold appears frequently. Red, blue, and green still appear.
Colors[]
The colors of the slots in the sephiroth determine the item you may receive. Each color has a specific type of item that it can create.
White[]
White alchemy typically creates restorative items, but can also create harmful items that may reduce Fiona's stamina or cause her to panic easily. Quies, Recreatio, and Sedetio are created by white alchemy. Equipment can also be created.
Blue[]
Blue alchemy creates items for Hewie, such as Bennenam, Magna, and Sylvesta Escas.
Red[]
Red alchemy creates items for Fiona to use in battle, such as Magnesia and Antimony.
Green[]
Green alchemy creates other medallions, but can also create some equipment.
Gold[]
Gold spheres are wild cards, and can be used to create any color and connect with surrounding colors.
Gray[]
When a sphere is gray, it has no effect.
